Audrey Baker

 

 2026 TSPE Travis Chapter Engineering Student of the Year

Audrey Baker is a senior architectural engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin, with a focus in structural engineering. She is passionate about the impact structures have on the built environment, and following graduation, she will pursue her master’s degree in structural engineering.

Audrey has experience in building design through collaborative studio projects, where she has worked on the schematic and preliminary design of high-rise structures. In addition, she has worked two structural engineering internships, and will complete her third this upcoming summer in New York City. She was one of the founding members of the UT Texas Society of Professional Engineers Student Chapter, and is currently serving as President, where she organizes professional events, connects students with industry professionals, and promotes the importance of engineering licensure and ethical responsibility. 

2027 ESOY Nominations

This award is given to one student member each year who is currently enrolled and is in good standing with their university; is a current member of NSPE/TSPE enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program; and is a citizen or permanent resident. This award was established in 2026 at the Travis Chapter and in 2023 at the Texas Society of Professional Engineers level.
