Check out what's in store during this year's Engineers Week Banquet!
2024 ENGINEERS
WEEK BANQUET
Our 2024 Engineers Week Banquet was held on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Hilton Doubletree Austin at 6505 N Interstate Hwy.
The Engineers Week Banquet is our largest event of the year and the greatest source of fundraising for the Travis Chapter. By becoming a sponsor for the event, your contribution will go towards important TSPE initiatives such as:
-
the local MATHCOUNTS Competition Series,
-
our partnership with Ortega Elementary (Title I), including our annual holiday party and, more recently, STEM activities for Spring Break,
-
and scholarship opportunities for local engineering students.
We will present this year's ASCE Austin Branch's Engineer of the Year, ASCE Austin Branch Younger Member Forum Outstanding Young Engineer, TSPE Travis Chapter's Young Engineer of the Year and Engineer of the Year, present recipients and their parents with $1500 scholarships, and end with a showcase on Water Conservation, featuring speakers Monica Masters, PE, PMP (Vice President, Water Resources, LCRA), L'Oreal Stepney (Board Member, Texas Water Development Board), Sarah Rountree Schlessinger (CEO, Texas Water Foundation) and Erika Crespo (Asst. Deputy Director, TCEQ Water Quality Division). Our MC of the evening will be Chikage Windler (Chief Meteorologist, CBS Austin), and joining us to talk about what TSPE is doing at the State level is Ashley Myers (Director of Government Relations, Grace & McEwan Consulting, LLC).
This year, we also had a fun round of trivia to break up the content as well as a silent auction to raise funds for our initiatives! We hope to see you there!
